Butterfly Farm Bed and Breakfast is towards the western end of the Great Ocean Road at Nirranda. The nearest well-known coastal features are Childers Cove and the Bay of Islands.
Look for the farm sign and the tennis courts on the south side of the road.
From Warrnambool, Adelaide and other points west:
Travel east along the Princes Highway. Turn right at the Great Ocean Road turnoff just past Allansford, and follow the road through Mepunga East and Nullawarre to Nirranda.
From Geelong, Melbourne and other easterly centres:
Travel west on the Princes Highway, turning onto the Great Ocean Road just before reaching Allansford; follow the road through to Mepunga East and Nirranda.
Alternately, turn south to the Great Ocean Road at one of the clearly-marked roads at Winchelsea, Colac, Camperdown or Terang, then travel west.
Along the Great Ocean Road
The most scenic way to reach us from Melbourne! Take the freeway to Geelong, then south to the coast at Torquay. Travel west through Anglesea, Lorne, Apollo Bay, Lavers Hill, Princetown, Port Campbell and Peterborough. Allow plenty of time for this trip, (we suggest a full day) as you will want to stop at the many attractions along the way.
After the Bay of Islands the road turns inland, through several corners, a final sweeping left turn leading to Nirranda.
